Consumer withdrawal
For a service contract concluded at a distance, consumers generally have 14 calendar days to withdraw without giving a reason, starting on the day after the contract is concluded. If the period ends on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it extends to the next working day. Statutory extensions, including those for missing information, remain applicable.

Starting during the withdrawal period
A separate express request on a durable medium is obtained before work starts during the withdrawal period. If you then withdraw, only a proportionate amount for the service actually provided may be payable under the legal conditions. Withdrawal rights are lost for a fully performed service only when the legal requirements for prior consent and acknowledgement of that loss are met.
Refunds and other cancellations
Following a valid withdrawal, refundable sums are returned within 14 days of notification using the original payment method, unless you expressly agree to another method at no cost. Other cancellations are handled according to the quotation and work actually completed; no unagreed fixed penalty is added. If the provider cancels, prepaid unperformed work is refunded. More favourable statutory protections remain unaffected.
Business clients
Consumer withdrawal rights do not automatically apply to every B2B contract. Any specific statutory protection remains reserved. The quotation specifies cancellation arrangements and payment for completed work.
